Neal Scanlon, the film's Lead Creature Designer, explained that shot took a lot of effort on the part of his team. First of all, the costume had to be shipped to Ireland, the two performers were put inside the costume in the early morning, and then they had to wait for Rian Johnson's crew to show up for filming. As for the milk, they had a dispenser for shooting plain milk into the bottle and the post production guys later added the tint.
