Rattray is still a relatively small company, I hope they don't run out of this stuff!Diving for Pearlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02373371259792882112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101162324715983722.post-10204313742477723302013-06-04T01:07:38.773-04:002013-06-04T01:07:38.773-04:00Picked up a bottle of this recently whilst traveli...Picked up a bottle of this recently whilst traveling after seeing a number of positive reviews online (including this one). Cost me US$20.

Stood up next to basically any blend I can think of under $40, IMO it beats all comers hollow. Oddly that sales sheet link isn't working today, because I think they mention the 5 year aging there. It is really interesting that they're open to announcing the whisky is aged five whole years, especially since I can't think of another Scotch whisky released in the US that states an age younger than 10 years.Diving for Pearlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02373371259792882112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101162324715983722.post-90333299778944604262013-04-20T00:32:30.788-04:002013-04-20T00:32:30.788-04:00Now, granted, I'm at that vulnerable time in l...Now, granted, I'm at that vulnerable time in life when my eyesight is failing but I didn't get glasses yet. I can see the BIG NUMBER 5 on the label. I just don't see anywhere the "years old" part. Are you sure it's 5 years old in the legal sense? Or is it just an eye catching device, tolerated by the TTC and whatever its equivalent is in Scotland, to suggest that the whisky is maybe more or less 5 years, give or take a couple? They use this trick all the time with rum - see Zacapa 23 (not years old) or Plantation Extra Old 20 (-th anniversary of some important event).Florinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14445344658258056628noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101162324715983722.post-79865985197655575222013-03-14T14:24:13.178-04:002013-03-14T14:24:13.178-04:00Absolutely!
