No sample of Usuikyou, though I would attempt a post about it if I received one. Regarding Andy, he's tried 2x-3x the number of whiskies he's reviewed on LAWS. And while his palate is often unique to most of the other LAWS dudes, I've found that palate pretty trustworthy as he and I have shared booze on many occasions. And who knows, we all have our weird tasting days, his are published online. As will mine! I'll have to find out the fate of that Usuikyou bottle, though.Diving for Pearlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02373371259792882112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101162324715983722.post-23645315785140654532015-06-21T19:06:02.305-04:002015-06-21T19:06:02.305-04:00Are we going to see a complete review of the Edrad...Are we going to see a complete review of the Edradour 30? And did Andy also send a sample of Usuikyou? It's funny that Andy was the ONLY LAWS member to like Usuikyou which raises some serious questions about his palate....Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13215982348779717643noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101162324715983722.post-69926490897219952922015-06-19T00:22:52.319-04:002015-06-19T00:22:52.319-04:00Dude, I must keep jumping the shark lest the creat...Dude, I must keep jumping the shark lest the creature consumes me.Diving for Pearlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02373371259792882112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101162324715983722.post-8319382697065551382015-06-19T00:17:20.754-04:002015-06-19T00:17:20.754-04:00Yeah, I'd be happy if I could avoid Usuikyou a...Yeah, I'd be happy if I could avoid Usuikyou as long as possible. The LAWS guys have a few whiskies in their database that I'd rank as bad or worse than Loch Dhu. This one is so bad I don't even know how to rate it. There's no whisky in it. It's all soap. (Many g**damnits to Andy for the sample.)Diving for Pearlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02373371259792882112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101162324715983722.post-66448902897640053592015-06-18T08:13:36.582-04:002015-06-18T08:13:36.582-04:00"The waiter lights your table candle with a m..."The waiter lights your table candle with a match then delivers a ramekin of toffee pudding with lemon zest and a glass of port to your table in a peat bog." Either your greatest sentence, or you've jumped the shark - maybe both. Better to burn out than to fade away, baby. Heck, the name sounds like it's insulting the drinker (You suck you!). At the very least Loch Dhu is one expression of Mannochmore out of hundreds. Usuikyou 1983 is presently the only indie release of Monde Syuzou distillery.Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13215982348779717643noreply@blogger.com
