For what it's worth, whiskybase people agree more with Florin's assessment than mine.Diving for Pearlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02373371259792882112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101162324715983722.post-56468660772942311212015-05-14T14:40:01.111-04:002015-05-14T14:40:01.111-04:00Oh great....Oh great....My Annoying Opinionshttp://www.myannoyingopinions.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101162324715983722.post-91174040609421020562015-05-14T11:47:06.665-04:002015-05-14T11:47:06.665-04:00I have no regrets about this one either. The whiskybase crowd agrees with your opinion more than mine, all 25 voters gave it a higher score than mine (https://www.whiskybase.com/whisky/42932/springbank-1999-wk). I'd be interested to see Chairman MAO's take.Diving for Pearlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02373371259792882112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101162324715983722.post-48193298631349618882015-05-13T12:30:33.648-04:002015-05-13T12:30:33.648-04:00So, did you like it, or not?

(I'd rate it about even with the WK Arran, not that they are similar.) In my defense, it was the Kanzler himself (in glasses and long hair, on the left) who convinced me to buy it - he said this was his favorite among the Springbanks. Was it a Driscoll move? I don't know. I did find the rum notes in the whisky, which you didn't seem to care for much. It may also be that it was a fragile whisky that didn't take well to the air in your bottle. (Has anyone ever called Springbank fragile?)

In the end I don't regret it. It takes a villain to bring up a hero and drama drives excitement.Florinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14445344658258056628noreply@blogger.com
