Maybe they did a better job with wood management.Diving for Pearlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02373371259792882112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101162324715983722.post-51587337742060497062012-10-19T00:53:22.206-04:002012-10-19T00:53:22.206-04:00Oof, a 750mL bottle. Hopefully whomever received the 3/4 bottle is still on speaking terms with you.Diving for Pearlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02373371259792882112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101162324715983722.post-20627514723711109432012-10-17T22:34:18.705-04:002012-10-17T22:34:18.705-04:00I tried a Speyside 20 tonight from Douglas Liang&#...I tried a Speyside 20 tonight from Douglas Liang's Old Malt Cask line. Very earthy and spicy. I've never had the distillery botting of Speyside so I can't really compare them.Mantiskinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13431679201599223423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101162324715983722.post-71864972581025885562012-10-17T17:37:00.922-04:002012-10-17T17:37:00.922-04:00Easy for you, with just a mini to finish. Here were my notes:

The nose is hard to detect. Full, firm, oily body- very nice! On the palate it is dry and nutty, with some malt notes. Short finish. It was lacking some floral character, so I added 50ml of Old Pulteney 17, which improved it very much.

(Even so, drinking it was a drag so I gave away the bottle 3/4 full.)Florinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14445344658258056628noreply@blogger.com
